On a scale from 1 to 10, the fun meter hovers around a 9.5 all night long.
The 11th Annual Village Crawfish Festival will be held on May 12, 2012 at 7231 Mission Road (3 blocks north of 75th Street and Mission Road) (map), Prairie Village Kansas, 66208. Signs will be prominently displayed indicating area for convenient parking.
The 11th Annual Village Crawfish Festival will benefit two children's charities:
Gillis
Since 1870, Gillis has been dedicated to serving the needs of children and families of Kansas City. Gillis’ services have undergone many changes over the years. From our beginnings as a support service for families following the Civil War, to our years as an orphanage, to the current focus of assisting troubled children and their families to become healthy and self-sufficient, we have remained steadfast to our original mission of helping the “needy and distressed” of Kansas City.
Kansas City Young Audiences
Kansas City Young Audiences was organized in 1961 with the desire to bring classical music programs to area school children. Since that time, they’ve delivered programs in all arts disciplines, developed the Arts Partners program and the Community School of the Arts. Today, years later, they are the largest provider of arts programs in the Kansas City area and one of the largest members of the national Young Audiences, Arts for Learning network. Each year they serve more than 160,000 area children.
